what is the best way to lube your moonroof/sunroof

sometimes it seems like it doesnt slide back so smoothly as it used to. ( from the dealership i remember seein this cloudy white kinda lube) whats the best stuff to lube the tracks up with. i would assume you just put it on the tracks rite.

Well you could use white lithium grease. Honda makes some :) I use it to lubricate my clutch and throttle cable on my bike.

I think that you should use something like a silicon lube to do the job. Auto store have this as well.

DIYNet. websight says to use silicon. just google sunroof lubricant it should be about three or four down.

the Silicon, Crude lubes will eat the rubber of the seal.

1) Get a real pretty girl.
2) Sit her on the open sunroof

A silicone based lube would work fine too. Either or, you could even use vasoline if you wanted to.

Vasoline is petrolium based, it will degrade the rubber seals and such. That's why the silcon lube.

How To Do It.

Here Is a step by step that DIY put out. AND I read it wrong earlier. OOOOPS! You use silicon on the rubber but lithium on the hinges and tracks.
