Rear wheel tapping noise

I painted my calipers last weekend, and I've only noticed it since then after jacking up my wheels and putting them back on.

Anyways, my rear passenger side wheel makes a REALLY annoying tapping noise when you start to slow down when going under 30mph. I dunno if it's the wheel exactly, or what... but it's coming from the wheel well somewhere.

Not only does it do it when I'm slowing down, but when the car is parked and you go back and shake the wheel with your hands.... it does it then, too.

I've taken the wheel off again, and putt it on properly to ensure it wasn't the lug nuts... which is not the issue. It sounds like it's coming from further inside, but not the breaks.

Anyone have any idea as to what this could be? It's really annyoing the hell out of me and I can't seem to find it. Thanks!

Is the tapping noise repetitive? Maybe something is stuck in your tire? (Screw or rock maybe?)

Nah, it's more of a creaking noise kinda... like plastic, or something. I dunno, but it's pissing me off.

If this were happening to me, I would get the tires rebalanced and see if it fixes the problem.

If it isn't that, could it be the dust shield for your brakes? a light tapping sound?

I can't view it right now (YouTube blocked at work), but the other thread seems to describe the problem I have perfectly.

Mine seems like it's coming from the shock/strut. Just another problem to add to the list, I'm having them look at next week when I take it in.

-Rev hang
-The idle problem, and the car bucks through the first few gears until it's warmed up
-Rear passenger side noise (shock/strut)
- Alignment (feels like it's pulling to the right a little)

I'm very pissed off, the car only has a little over a 1000 miles on it and should NOT have these kinds of issues.

You forgot, or will eventually get:
-Front left corner clunk
-Passenger seat rattles
-Head liner rattles
-Glovebox rattle
-paint chips in the oddest places

haha

Hey at least you won't have an exterior trunk keylock to break.

If it's a tap/clicking/ticking on the right-rear corner, then it's almost certainly that same problem as the other thread.

i had that same problem and it was the strut assembley i just bought the car off the lot and about 2500 miles on it and it started making that same noise and at the same mph and everything.I would check into replacing the strut assembley take it to the dealer if it under warranty. Does it make the noise more when its cold out bc mine did that.

mine was the rear upper bushing setup. Pulled the shock, lubed everything. No noise now.
