Remote Amp Wire!?!?!?!

Wats up everyone im hooking up my amp+sub to the stock system tomorrow so has anyone found an easier place to tap in for the remote wire, because i really don't feel like pulling out the stock head unit if i don't have to..

did your civic come with the aftermarket amp and or bass package, if so In the trunk there should be a harness that already has the turn on wired, If not then you will prob have to run one from the deck, one question though, why do you want to keep the stock deck.

There is one in the fuse block also. If you check out the DIY audio section there is a couple.

i just have a regular si with the premium sound, and for know i am keeping the stock headunit becasue i want to keep the clean stock look, and later on when i can afford it i want to get a double din in dash with all the goodies...

there's a little light blue wire on the right side of the plug on the stock amp... all u have to do is take off the center console to get to it... pretty easy... sorry i don't have pix from when i did mine...

thnx.. and just to make sure the factory amp is under the center console ???? and how many plugs are down their so i don't get mixed up if their is more than one.

Here is a DIY for stereo install if you scroll down you'll see a wiring diagram, this might help find the factory amp turn on.
