I got the estimate finally to repair the damage done to the passengers side of my vehicle. The estimate is almost 5k. On the estimate they want to replace both bumper covers, the front passengers side fender, the door skin, rear quarter panel, and lower rocker panel. My dads friend does awesome body work. My dad had a 96 Olds Aurora where his friend fixed the drivers side door, and its was mangled up pretty badly. He matched the color perfectly and you could never tell it was damaged after he repaired it. I'm going to have my dads friend repair the car. It'll take him about a week, and he is awesome with sheet metal. The dealer only wants to replace the body panels instead of fixing them. Must be none of there techs are really good at real sheet metal work. I guess this is where old timers come into play. Like my dads friend says back in the old days they use to straigten and fix the sheet metal unless it was beyond repair. He states that my car should be a very easy fix. Hopefully, I'll have the car back within the next week.
