Angry Tapping/rattle coming from the front passenger seat of my Si Sedan

Just picked her up last week, and still have less then 500 miles on it... and I noticed an annoying little tapping/rattling sound coming from the passenger side.

I took my dad out for a spin in it to see if he could determine where it was coming from, however it did not make any sound.

As soon as he got out, I took a drive alone around the block and it was back! Thus, how I figured out it must be something with the seat.

Any ideas of what it could be, or anyone else have a similar issue? I know it's still under warrenty, but it's such a hassle to take in and have them fix it.

If it involves anything $5+ I'll take it in, but if there is a quick fix I can preform myself, I would prefer that.

Thanks!

I had the same problem. they fix the problem really quick. I have a 2007 si coupe. They said that it was the bolt at the base of the seat who were a little loose. Thos rattle was driving me crazy before they fix it

I have the same problem and I wish I knew which bolt was loose... Or if it's a matter of the design of the seat frame.

heh, the dealer just called me and asked how things were going ironically.

Told him I love the car, except for the annoying little rattle. He said to bring it in to get fixed, so I guess that's what I'll do.... and also mention the problems noted by you guys in this thread, to give them a good lead with the problem at least.

Well, I went in to the dealership yesterday to get looked at.

I described the problem, and 45 minutes later it was fixed. Apparently two of the bolts underneath the seat were not fastened properly, thus the rattling.

Also, if someone would sit in the seat it would compress the bolts and that was the reasoning for not making the noise when someone else was along for the ride.

I figured...but which bolts? I think I've tightened all the bolts I possibly could on the seat... I guess I'll have to look again.

Any ways, glad they solved it for you!

Seatbelt!

Mine does the same thing, when there isn't someone sitting in the passenger seat the seatbelt hangs loose and bashes into the B pillar over rough roads.

I forget which ones he said... I soon as I heard the words "it's fixed" I sort of trailed off with paying attention.

AHHH!!!! My passenger seat on my FA5 is tapping/rattling too. I've checked the bolts and they all seem ok but it seems like its coming from the middle/center of the seat.
