Heated Center Console???

I'm having a problem with my 06EX Auto. When the heat is cranked and the floor vents on, the system seems to duct heat into the center console, heating the shift lever, parking break, all the plastic, and the cup holder. I can't keep a cold drink in the car and have my feet warm too??? I took the car to my dealer, who confirmed that all of there cars do it (after a LOT of prompting). He then told me that there are no TSB's for it and so he can't do anything. I then chatted with the Honda rep (who I knew would be in that day). The nasty guy basically told me "who cares, no one else is complaining, so have a nice day". They then tried to tell me that putting a plastic barrier at the front of the console to prevent the air from rushing through it would void my warrenty because the compartment could overheat and damage the wires/electronics running through it (not that there are any electronics in there, but I didn't feel like telling him that I had already taken it apart), at which point I had to bite my tongue to keep from laughing because my whole complaint is about the heat being pumped into the console. My current idea is to put some actual insulation around the cupholder, I like my drinks cold

Can anyone confirm my problem in there own car, hasn't anyone else noticed this???

I haven't gotten around to it yet, been busy with my son. I'll probably save it for when I'm installing my sub/amp/alarm/courtesyLights/frontSpeakers. I have so many little projects for my car planned that I'm thinking to just tear apart the entire car all at once and sit there for a couple days
