Parking civic on the hill

Is it ok for a civic to roll when parked in gear? When i park my 07 civic si in gear i can see and feel that my car will roll a little bit. I owed previous manual cars and they never rolled like this. It is middle of the winter here and i would like to use hand brake as little as possible, but i am really scared not to use hand brake.

IMO its not good to not use the ebrake on a manual or even a auto car. The manual can pop out of gear and your car is just going to free roll and go where ever it wants. It also puts stress on the transmission on both manual and auto's that is not nessesary if you use the ebrake and its adjusted correct. Very unsafe and if your worried about you brake freezing because of the cold you can always carry a chalk to put in front of one of your tires to help keep it from rolling but even then it's still not 100%.

I would just use the brake. Lol
