Question for M/T Owners: Gear-shift knob
Have the DX-G (CDN) model for about 4 months now (10,000 KMS) and just noticed that the silver/grey on the top of the gear-shift knob is fading and showing the colour of the white plastic behind it... I didn't think this would be happening so soon. Has anyone else been experiencing this? And you think the car warranty will cover this (ie. replace the gear-shift knob)?

Update: Went to the dealership yesterday and they looked at the knob and said if falls under the 3 year/60,000kms warranty. I just hope the new one lasts longer than 4 months!
Also, you might want to check the weld points on the doors... I noticed on the passenger doors (front and rear) that there is surface rust on them. You might have to lift up the rubber sealers to see them. I was told to go to their body shop to have it checked out. It's still a cause for concern and maybe only affects owner in the colder climes. |
