Knocking/Bumping/Tapping/etc...

hey guys..im very paranoid when it comes to my car and the possibility of mechanical problems..as im reading about all these drivers having sounds come from the back of the car...right/left/front/under the hood...whatever it is..i was just curious to know..are all these sounds really obvious...or do i have to really listen for it? i was just wondering..and would appreciate any response..thanks!!

this depends.

our motors make a ticking noise due to the injectors which is noticeable but definitely doesnt sound bad. there is also a clunk that you will hear when you turn your AC on which may sound bad but is just the compressor turning on.

on the other hand, if you hear a much louder ticking noise coming from your cylinder areas, you have a much bigger problem.

hmm..that ticking noise you're talkin about...due to the injector..only ticking noice i ever hear is when i put it in the first gear and start goin...i dont know if thats what it is or noti hear one tiny lil click...other than that..there aren't any clunks or anything..i was just curious to know..thanks a bunch! repped ya

On My 06 LX sedan, they are all obvious and can be heard during normal operation.

These are the ones that are still not fixed. The motor mount and belt replacement solved 2 of the 4 major noises with my car.
