oil changes???

I just want some opinions on this. I have 6500kms on my 07 civic and the oil life monitor says it 50%. Should i get my oil changed??? I was always a firm on changing my oil every 4500kms??? anyways what do you guys think!

Do it if you feel like it. You won't hurt anything.

I waited until 5% and changed it for the first time, that's a little under 10k. It won't hurt either way if you change it now or wait.

Ya i think i'll change it in the next 500km, something about changing oil every 12k doesn't sound right. thanks guys

I'm still waiting on those that swears by the oil life indicator to chime in...

37,000 miles.

I change the oil when 15% comes up,about 5000-6000 miles, using Mobil-1 Synthetic.

I called my dealership today and they think its crazy and a waste that i want to change my oil with 50% life. The guy went on about this huge rant on how its a "proven technology".
