It's official, I HATE MY CIVIC!

Wow, I am totally done with this car. This has gotta be the biggest piece of sh*t ever to recieve a honda badge. In addition to the numerous problems I've had with my battery, my brakes, my paint, and other random CEL's, now I have two new problems. My CD player is f*cked up and my newest problem, my car shakes, wobbles and makes crazy noises during daily driving. I have no clue whats causing it, I've taken it to 3 different places and gotten 3 completely different suggestions on what to buy first to fix it. I've been told its the brakes, or the struts, or the hub bearings, or the tires. Not sure which one to fix first, but one things for sure, as soon as I can get this piece of sh*t fixed its going straight into the autotrader. Next time around I'll try my luck with toyota, probably the last reliable car make left...

lmao, no.... no, im afraid NONE of it is covered. The first time my battery died, I brought it to the dealer. They told me my AEM intake was the problem, charged me $100 and sent me away with the same dead battery. I had to jump my car to leave the dealership. I tried the dealer again with the paint and the brakes, actually tried 2 different honda dealers, neither one would cover either problem. At that point I stopped going to the dealers. If I really wanted to pay $100 to have someone lie to my face, i'd go to a strip club...

How does and AEM intake cause the battery to go dead? The can't deny warranty unless they can prove an after market part caused the failure.

lol, yeah, I thought that was odd too. The intake has nothing to do with a dead battery. Basically they realized they could either give me a new battery and let me go on my merry way, or they could find some way to blame the problem on me. I can just imagine them popping my hood, and having dollar signs flashing in their eyes as they saw my intake.
So, to answer your question theres real reason why they blamed it on my intake, or at least no good reason. They just really wanted my $100

-CD player should be under warranty
-Not sure what the breaks are doing but it should be under warranty
-If you have paint flaking off it should be under warranty...not sure what other issues you would have with paint...
-Shaking and wobbling is most likely the aftermarket wheel/tires...did it do it with the stock wheels?
-CEL most likely the intake....sorry no warranty there.

I would Call Honda USA and file a complaint. That is unacceptable. Also let them know you will post your worries on internet message boards..

I wonder if the AEM intake might caused the CELs, aftermarket wheels 18" (IMO you shouldn't get 18s for non-si's) causing car shakes/wobbles/noises, and battery from other aftermarket parts.

Try putting everything back to stock and bring to a different dealer.

Yeah, thats my next move is to put the stock wheels back on and see if the problem persists. But I dont know, I've had unbalanced wheels on other cars before and usually the steering wheels shakes and the car vibrates at certain speeds. This feels different though, its hard to explain, my cars making wierd sounds I've never really heard a car make before.
As far as the paint, brakes, and CD player. The dealers just will NOT help me out. I've got just over 30k miles, so they know my warranty is almost done, and they're trying to stall me til that happens. They tell me things like "try another dealer" or "come back in a few weeks when our honda tech guy is here". They just do whatever they can to get rid of me with as little effort as possible

Did that too. I've been trying for weeks in fact. I can very rarely get through to the person I need to talk to. And when I do, he says he'll call me back in a few minutes, then never does. Sometimes he calls me in the mornings when im at work and cant answer, then I call him back when I can, and he doesnt answer. I've basically been playing phone tag with him for the last couple weeks. I actually just got off the phone with him like an hour ago. He said he'd call me back in 5 minutes... yeah right

call Honda of America and tell them your situation

Also mention the Magnusson Moss act and ask for your $100 back.

Actually alot of people have reported CD player problems not just him but many others. Mine hasnt done anything strange (yet)
mine doesnt have the paint flaking problem but its so caked in rock chips and shit i said oh the hell with it! got tired of touching it up i admit the paint on our civics is complete shit and unacceptable.
Strangely my civic also wobbles and shakes and its on stock wheels and tires...
I have no engine problems on mine

Our interiors are flimsy, cheap shit just look at how easily the visors fall apart! mine hasnt (yet) this is becoming a pandemic..or an epidemic with these civics..

I feel you man and if its an EX you should sell it for $18,500 i know i am. These problems with the civics is unacceptable and i also tried calling HOA multiple times and still no go.... Good luck man oh and everytime i get in or out of my civic our civic door panels are so flimsy im afraid the door locks or something might fall apart. Honda you better be listening and if you dont fix these problems by the 08 Civic model year then HOA has a huge problem. The 07's were not improved at all and its already been out for a year...awesome customer service HOA!..NOT!
