Headlight Problem

Hi,

A body shop recently replaced the driver's side front headlight assembly after my Civic ('06 EX coupe) was hit while parked. Last week, I noticed that the sidemarker isn't working on the front driver's side when the headlights are on. The turn signal, however, is working properly.

Could the body shop have wired the headlight assembly incorrectly, or could the bulb need to be replaced?

If you think it might be the wiring, I would appreciate quick instructions on fixing the problem so I don't have to bring the car back to the shop.

Thanks for the help!

-Dan

Well....have you already tried replacing the bulb to rule that out?

he said the turn signal works which is the same bulb as the side marker...so that is ruled out.

to the OP...try the fuse...if that is not it, its proboyl a wiring problem. sounds like the body shop didnt realize that the harness was damaged. there is not much that can be messed up since all the harness does is plug in....the body shop probobly should replace the healight hanress and go from there....

Which fuse # controls the side marker/turn signal? The manual does not list any specific fuse for the side marker, so I am wondering what it would be grouped together with...

The bulb may work as the turn signal but its a dual fillament bulb, so the side marker filament could be out. so dont rule the bulb out till you actually check it and maybe swap it to the other side of the car

That's a really good point. I will swap the bulbs when i get home from work and see if that is the issue.
