Suggest reviewing the owner's manual for service information as well as reading up on the maintenance minder system.

I know that is what the manual says, but I just don't trust changing the spark plugs at 100k, I stick to 30k and that is my max.

its not going to hurt your engine really, they say 100k for a reason, i'm sure they know what there doing.

either way if you do change them out, are your upgrading them?

like suggested, read your manual. the reason Honda includes an OWNER'S manual is so the OWNER will read it and be informed about the car.

but here is what you should check/have checked out.
1. Spark Plugs (don't leave it until 100k)
2. Brakes
3. Tires
4. Any type of fluid

If you read it is says something about depending on conditions.

Even thought the plugs may technically last that long, if they are starting to wear and produce even slightly less efficient spark at say 50,000 miles it is not that expensive and probably worth it to change them rather than run slightly less efficient plugs for another 50,000 miles. Also, when you have dissimilar metals (iron spark plug in aluminum head for example) corrosion is worse. I have seen a few cases where a spark plug left in a head for 100,000 miles damaged the aluminum threads of the head when being taken out.

With platinum plugs the gap may stay withing specs for that long, but for the cost and time to change them I would never take the chance. I would never let plugs go longer than 50,000 (I usually end up changing them a little sonner, 30-40K or so).

There is still a regular spark plug for each cylinder. But rather than having a single coil with a distributer and spark plug wires, or a seperate coil for each plug mounted remotely and spark plug wires, our cars have a coil for each spark plug mounted directly above each spark plug with just a small boot between the coil and plug (no spark plug wires).

I don't know. but I myself wouldn't leave it until 100k. but yet again it would take me more than 10 years to put that kind of mileage on my upcoming 07 Si.
