Wanted: 06 Civic Coupe LX Service Manual>PDF
2006 Honda Civic Coupe LX 1.8 ltr AT (non Hybird)
Search for after market Service Manual reveals none available yet. Only Honda Service Manual can be bought for $75. If you know where I can download free PDF copy of 06 Civic Service Manual for LX & EX models, then please advise. Note that the separate Si model is covered by different Supplement Service Manual & does not cover or apply to Civic LX & EX versions for 2006. Ehcees uses proper nouns & not pronouns. Reason is to avoid confusion as to who or what is being spoken about or speaking, as advised by experts for all web communication. Larger font & text color shown is for easy read. This is a proper & allowed choice that will not change. Thanks for understanding. Please no comments on text composition, font size/color desired. Ehcees is sight impaired. |

I realize this reply is a bit late, but since I'm just joining, I thought maybe other people might find this info useful.
I too was looking for a downloadable copy of the owner's manual for my 2006 EX Coupe. While searching for it on the Honda web site, I stumbled upon a link to something called the "Owner Link Web Site." That took me here: https://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/login.asp?brand=honda You can register for free. Once you do, log in and then click on the "Maintenance Minder" link. On the Maintenance Minder page, you'll see a sentence that says the following: "Following the factory-recommended maintenance minder system in your Honda Owner's Manual is the best thing you can do for your vehicle. Regular scheduled maintenance helps prevent problems before they occur." The words "Owner's Manual" will be hyper linked to a downloadable PDF. Hope that helps someone. Took me a LONG time to find that little gem. Max. *Edit: I just realized that I didn't even need to log in to view my manual. I closed all my browser windows and then pasted in the link: http://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/p...606MAINIXA.pdf It took me right to the page for my manual. It's a 2006 EX coupe, so it's not an exact fit for the sedan drivers here, but if others would want to register and then post the same link to their specific Civic, this could become a very useful thread. Service Manual vs. Owners Manual
To: Max_C
Thank you for what appears to be exhaustive search to find what you call "Owners Manual". My post was to find "Service Manual". Please be advised that the 06 Civic LX Coupe has been sold to Car Max. I hated this car as it was loaded with design defects that included: 1. Cold start high idle take 2 1/2 minutes to drop to 1100 RPM & total of 5 minutes to reach curb idle of 850 RPM even at 80 degrees F outside. 2. Not waiting for cold start high idle to drop results in metal slap noise from trans if put in drive. 3. Hard to find a seat position that works with steering wheel. 4. Steering wheels blocks some of dash gauges in most seat/wheel positions. 5. Water runs off roof into car if window is opened before all water leaves roof. 6. Honda provides dealer with no service proceedure to adjust idle. Computer controls idle & can't be adjusted. That would be OK except the high cold start idle program sucks as designed. 7. Honda Customer Assistance in CA is not focused, wastes your time, offers no solution & engages verbose psycho babble. Worthless. 8. Resale value looks high on kbb.com, but nobody will pay close to private party good condition. 9. 60 days on cars.com got only 4 flaky calls & no E-mail inquiry despite being priced low compared to kbb.com values. 10. Factory H speed rated tires wear out in 25K miles & cost a fortune to replace. ($125 each) Civic no longer an economy car, despite good MPG. Bought a Corrola S. Much better ride & none of the above design defects. To all readers: Do not care what you think of my choice of font size & color.

Ehcees,
there is no need to mention your lack of care as to what people will think about your choices in every single post of yours. Most of us are literate and can understand your point. It is annoying and I doubt it will help you much especially when you are requesting HELP. As to the service manual - information costs money and over a thousand pages of technical info with illustartions are well worth $75. If you want a discounted version (paper or CD) check regularly E-bay ![]()

Free Info & Egos Gone Wild
To: Dude
![]() Thank you for your prompt off point reply thatseems ego driven rather than topic related. Here is why: A. Your commentary on users choice of font size/color is off point, not relevant & insulting. B. The fact is that info is mostly free & increasing daily. Local library ordered 06 Honda Service Manual for free. Despite being four times larger than any other vehicle service manual seen in 30 years, it fails to cover key points relative to idle. C. Information is not knowledge. For knowledge, one must pay. In fact on my past three cars, PDF service manual was obtained free via thread post. -------------------- Yet another issue pertinent to the 06 Civic is the reply quality to posts. Unlike my other vehicles, the 8th generation Civic posts get big ego, deflective, non technical, diversive, ineffective, hauty & imperious replies 98% of time. Site administration is requested to close this thread. Have a nice life.
