trip meter question

I wanted to ask everyone a question concerning the trip meters. Mine don't beep when I reset them. I'm positive that when I reset them the very first time I got a beep. I do get a beep when I switch between the MPH and KMH but not when I reset the trip meters to zero. I believe the manual says that you should hear a beep when you reset them. So does everyone else's car beep? I know this is a small thing but I don't like it when things aren't the way they should be no matter how small a thing it may be.

By the way I have a 2006 civic coupe ex.

Thanks

PS, you may have been pushing the dash lights brightness. It beeps when reaching max bright or minimum bright.
