Update from me:

I feel dumb.

I don't know why I got it in my head that I put the OEM bumpstops on the B&Gs...I've got so much other stuff going on, that I think I just convinced myself that I did. The B&Gs come with their own bumpstops, so my issue can't be the OEM bumpstops. Of course, it is possible that they are still binding, but I'll follow up with B&G about that. I'm also having my CV joint on the front driver's side checked out just in case...

<----frustrated.

Any ways, I'll take pics of the bumpstops tonight to show the difference between the old ones and the new ones. I hope this fixes your guys problems!

I've had my 07' Si for about a month now and I love it, but I also have the pop on the drivers side.

I went to the dealer yesterday and the tech reproduced it no sweat and i should have mine replaced next week (and my vin is 7xxx) so I'm happy to know there are some good dealers out there.

2007 Si Sedan Popping Noise

I have read it asked a few times, and not yet answered.
Monkey Con Queso,.. i think you were on deck to answer this...

HAS ANYONE DONE THIS Bump Stop replacment and had any Success?

My car has been doing this since I drove it off the lot. (June 20th 2007) Thing is i read the user manual the same day, and under the VSA section, it said when the VSA kicks in you will hear a noise from the front of the vehicle. I just assumed, since the pop always happened after the car was parked, it was the VSA kicking in. Now after reading of at least 20+ Si owners complaining of this, i now am leaning toward the suspension. You can feel it in the floor, and in the wheel when it pops. I called all the local honda dealerships in westchester NY. NOONE had heard of the Service bulletin, NOR done any of these types of fixes on their Civic Sis.

If you look at my post (#121) I stated that I am smoking crack and am not sporting the OEM Bumpstops. However! this last weekend I took my car to an ouside mechanic and he seems to think the popping is the bumpstops as well. The B&G bumpstops have the same hole diameter as the old OEM ones, so they may do the exact same thing. I am going to swap out the B&G bumpstops, cut the new bumpstops down to size (have to since I would be limiting suspension travel if I didn't) and try it out.

Through all this though, I am probably not the best test case. Someone with an OEM suspension setup would have more accurate results for the OEM issue. I will still report what I find in my case as soon as it stops raining and I get some motivation to deal with it....again.

Well if anyone remembers my post, finally my dealer got the new strut (after like a month of waiting, the parts were on backorder!) and well after installing the new strut, I still get the pop, so back in my car goes!

I did mine about 2 weeks ago or so and no noise so far! Go ahead and do it if it's free. It can't be any worse if your car is already making noises.

I had the "bump" noise (mine sounded more like a "clunk"), had it for atleast 6 months and had the tech at Frank Ancona Honda, Olathe, KS drive with me. He heard it and knew immediately what it was and about the TSB. He ordered the parts and replaced them a couple weeks ago. All under warranty. No more bump.

Now to get the "Hot cup holders" fixed... and a DIY audio input jack installed.

Thanks Monkey. My appointment is this weekend. YES the hot cup holders. What is the fix? i will tell the dealership to fix that too. We always complain about those. I didn't know there was a fix available. I also have an audio recording done with a pretty expensive mic of the pop/clunck/donk of the noise that i think we all hear. I should post it yeah? Or is it old news by now?

Mine just started to do this RIGHT AFTER it was at the dealer!

It was there to get the rear passenger side, creaking noise from the strut fixed! Those assholes told me they didn't hear anything, and that they could not fix it. I refused to leave and told them to go on a drive with me so they could hear the noise... sure enough, there it was again!

So now this popping starts to happen. Does it ever end???

Problems I have had fixed already under a month of ownership and less then 1,500 miles:
-Sun roof rattle
-Passenger seat rattle
-Rear strut bushing, creaked

NOW the popping sound.

Jesus Christ.

I am in sales here in colorado and they used my car as the nation wide test car, mine still to today hasn't popped! they just ripped the road up around here and where it should be popping, no problem. They changed the bumpstops very quickly in my dealership service center. They aligned it and since then, silence!
