Thumbs down

What really bothers me is the folks that bring they're car in due to an issue with popping/clicking and are told its not part of the TSB. Fact is there is still an issue and should be dealt with regardless of if they're VIN is called out. these cars are under warranty regrdless of if there is a TSb or not right?

Any issues should be covered at a minimum under the factory warranty correct?

I have this clicking sound everytime I go over a bump on front left side. Having my oil changed tomorrow and definitely bringing this TSB. I hope they really fix it since its almost 1 year since I had the car (for warranty purposes)

My '07 Si Sedan is in the shop right now... I took it in and they are replacing both the driver side engine mount (which they say is the reason for the popping noise) and the entire 3rd gear assembly (the whole popping out of third gear problem.) We'll see if either of these "fixes" fix the problems...

On a side note, I called Honda customer service the other morning just to get the problems I'm having documented seperately from the dealer and was told that enthusiast web pages are "dangerous"... I thought that was kinda funny :)

How lame is that, if it was not for these forums, most of us owners would not know the truth about the problems with our cars and HONDA would never fix a thing!

Subscribed. If I have to PAY for the freaking bumpstops, I will! I thought it was just my B&G coils, but after looking at how everything is set up, it IS the bumpstops. They keep getting bound up at the top of the strut, and make rubber sqeaking noises, and popping noises when it's cold.

ARGH! I wish I had seen this earlier!

I have that popping sound, and it went away after I installed my eibach prokit, i have an 07 Si sedan, I found out that the bumpstops was not properly mounted on the upper plate which makes the sound. It went away after the eibach install

Unhappy

Yeah I have an Silver 07 Si sedan had the car for 2 months now with 2600 miles with this damn poping noise. I took it in already for the noise they told me and gave alot of excuses of what could be causing the poping noise. Told me a brake caliper noise etc. etc etc. I heard it from left front when I hit bumps when I got the car, now its doing it when I turn too.

I've had this since I bought the car. I have a 07 SI coupe the 203rd made for 07. So I missed the TSB by 4 cars. I find it hard to believe they fixed it just four cars before mine. Since DEE DE DEEE mine still does it.

I get a loud popping noise when going down a drive way or over a speed bump. Mostly happens after the car has sat for 20minutes or so then bam.

So say I stop to eat or go to the store. When I get back in the car POPO - WAMO!

You know, after removing my suspension a total of 6 times now, mostly because of what I thought was my pillowball mount (now looks like it's the bump stop), the bump stop on the drivers side has ALWAYS been bound at the top of the strut. If this is indeed the cause, then I can understand why it pops when my car is cold/been sitting for a while while it's bound up there. And when it's warm going over a bump at an angle with the steering wheel turned (usually to the right) it will make a rubber squeeking noise.

So, what makes me laugh now (ha. ha.) is that if I had known of this TSB, I would have saved myself HOURS of work and uncertainty. Oh well, at least I learned a lot!

I'll be calling my dealership tomorrow, spouting TSB numbers, and see if I can get the bumpstops in hand, paid or not. Somehow I doubt that they would "warranty" it with an almost fully aftermarket strut assembly.

Man, I can't believe it, 2 dealerships told me it was the front caliper as well. I knew they were full of SH_T!!!

I am going to take the TSB down and I also have 3 papers from the dealerships showing they could not diagnose the problem.

Just called the dealership. They will happily sell me the new bumpstops, but they will not do the labor. I expected as much, and hell, I wouldn't want them really doing the labor any ways since I've got B&G Coilovers.

And....bumpstops = $7.58 each.

Yeah. Not exactly breaking the bank, and I'll be picking them up tomorrow. I'll keep everyone updated once I get 'em on

If the significant other doesn't mind, I'll be installing the new bumpstops after work today. If she does, then I'll be doing it tomorrow morning. I'll let you know
