i have an 07 Si sedan that ive had for about a month and a half...ive heard the popping noise a handfull of times, but very rarely...now, when i bring it in, what do i do when the TSB doesnt include any 2007 Si Sedans AT ALL?! this noise is pissing me off big time.

I find it odd that I read about this today... and all of a sudden my car is starting to do it! I only have 5200 mi on it, but I guess I am doing better than most. Where was this TSB found at? (I printed it out) All I find on a search is the crap about the cooling system.

I suspect a print out of this thread will make most services managers laugh in your face, as most will hold the general opinion that internet message boards spread fallacies, untruths, and general hearsay.

I'm glad to see it wasn't my imagination with so many people having the same problem. My dealer had just gotten the TSB when I asked them to look into it. Hopefully the parts will be in within the week.

Okay...I brought my car today in because of steering making a bunch of noises. They said they replaced the steering assembly but after a month of driving, I know that it hasn't resolved it. Now, it has a clunk (pop?) sound coming from the suspension when turning the wheel about 5-10 degrees and accelerating from a full stop.

So I described this to a service manager and showed him the TSB. He looked at it and said, well....if the noise has nothing to do with this, we won't even fix it....

I asked, "You won't? But the bulletin says affected vehicles 2-door 06 civic ALL!"

I have a 2006 Civic Si (coupe of course).... Just out of curiousity, if it affected all explicitly in the TSB, why would they say they wouldn't fix it?

Take it to a different dealership.

Guess I should post up. This problem occurs two-three times per day for me, and is disheartening. If it were less of a distressing sound it would be easier to live with. I've got vacation next week, guess I'll be spending a couple days driving to Honda dealerships to see who will help me out.

My car falls outside the VIN range (07 Si coupe), so I think printing out the PDF would NOT benefit me.

i think you should take it in regardless they might help you out just because a TSB exists. That's what happened to me.

Well I drove over there because I CAN reproduce it easily. As soon as I got there (20 miles), they were like...oh yeah we could reproduce it and it is the TSB....

I rolled my eyes and figured I just won't put gas in the rental when I return in. The rental company is hitting Honda up for over $100...that's with me.

With the new bump stops and Amsoil MTF she's no longer making any popping noise or grinding/whining noise. My baby feels like new....

Shown the TSB to the service writer, and a Honda tech went out with me for a test drive, and I was able to duplicate the front suspension noise when going over bump in the parking lot to the tech, but when I picked up the car, the service writer said that they have the car up on the lift, and checked everything under the front suspension, and everything is tight, so they can be do any repair, and consider it no issue with the front suspension, and the service writer also stated the TSB was not for 07 Si sedan....

and the noise came back when i drove to work this morning

If Si sedan owner has the noise problem, we should all bring the car into Honda so they will have a written record for this defect on Si sedan, and hopefully we make enough noise Honda will do something about it because of this enginnering defect

I have a Pop/click sound thats gotten progressively worse. It only happens when I hit the gas or let off the gas. I thought at first it may be my intke being loose and hitting something, but it doesnt happen when I hit bumps. It only happens when the tranny up shifts or downshifts it seems. Has anyone else had this sound before? It didnt do it till I had the HFP suspension installed in it too..
