After going to the NHTSA site via the provided link I have found that many service bulletins that I know for a fact to exist are not provided. Therefore, don't go there expecting to see everything that has been released by Honda to be there. I think All data is probably the only way to go if you want to see it all.

I haven't even gone in for my first oil change yet, and you guys are making me dread the time when i'm going to have to do it ... Sounds like there are a lot of Honda dealerships that are absolute crap when it comes to the service department

I've had this problem on my '07 Si from the first week (I've had it for about a month now). My VIN is WAY out of range...but I still get the occasional pop from the front wheel on the passenger side.

Hey I dont know if any Canadians have had to deal with this yet, but I had this problem too, and today I was able to take it to the dealership, recreate the problem for the mechanic in a drive, and then handed him the pdf printout of that TSB and after inspecting it they think its the exact same thing and are ordering the parts to fix it! So even though that PDF is done by American Honda, it will be relevant to Canadian Civics too!!

dont be to worried. just go to the dealership confident and with the right paper work. i am lucky that the dealership i go to is really cool and want to help out. i was nervous when i went to get the factory reflash done because i had a i/e/img and i was sure i was going to get a bullshit excuse why they could not work on it. actually i shot the shit with the guys for a lil while about what i was planning to do and what i had done. they told me best of luck and keep up the good work. i had the mentality going in that i was not leaving until i either had an appointment to get it fixed or it was going to be fixed that day. CONFIDENCE and PERSERVERENCE will get you a long way in this world. dont be shy to raise your voice in the middle of the show room because they are trying to screw you. it looks really bad if you have to bitch to get work done on your car to the new customers and they understand that. my .02

man i feel bad for you guys that have shitty dealers. I took mine in this week and showed the service manager the TSB. They drove it 5 miles, couldn't hear the noise but still put in an order for a full strut assembly for me. I guess it all depends on which dealership you go to.

Yes, difference between 2 dealers could be day and night. That is if you live in an area having convinience of choosing between a few dealers.

i have the same noise...

Well..,

I am glad that a TSB is out there... for this noise.

I have a 2007 Si and this "tennis-ball" sound is a reality for me,

My "VIN" is in the "range"

I have heard it since the first couples of miles and I was thinking that something was "LOOSE" in the suspension...

But the noise is hard to reproduce at will... sometimes it works some time it does not...

And it is a Canadian car so there is no TSB yet that I am aware of...

Is there a Canadian TSB out there?

I want to have it in hand because my "Honda dealership" is hard to convince since the noise is "hard to pin down" and reproduce ...

I had the popping also, got it back from the dealer and they said that my steering rack was falling off the cowling cause the bolts that hold it on backed out.

This is after they had replaced both of my front Shocks.

There's a legitimate reason for that, on Saturdays there are less people working because, well, it's the weekend. Since it's a rattle, they often have to pull down a lot of stuff, for example the dash. They don't want to be in a situation where they would have to pull down the dash and not have the man power to do it or put it back together--that'd be a waste of time. They'd rather not admit you until when there are more man power to do something like that.

There isn't a TSB out yet for Canada (if there ever will be one), as my dealer said, but they are fixing mine because I showed them this TSB and they agree that seems to be the problem, print it out and see if they will take a look at it anyways!

Mine started it on Day 1 while driving home from the dealership, Im not into 2500km and its still doing it, but I find it is only in certain spots that it happens, for me its on 'sharp' bumps/dips.

So I have a part that was incorrectly manufactored in my car.

and the TSB says all 2006 SI's

My car has only done it once, slow turn, turning left...very loud pop!

Do I demand that it be fixed, or worry that it will get worse later after warrenty ends?

What do you do when a TSB says "Bumb Stop was manufactured to an incorrect specification"

Yet it doesn't happen often to your car.... its still broke right?
I hate have them work on a car that's driving great, but I know has a flaw?

Any ideas?????

I'm gonna raise this issue when i go in for my first oil change ... if they decline to even speak to me about it, i'll straight up leave and tell them i'm taking my business elsewhere .... there are way too many dealerships in sauga to deal with BS from stealerships

popping flea found in 2007 lx sedan too?

my 2007 lx sedan gave loud popping sound on day 3 of my ownership (100km)
it popped again at (700km) and it did again at (1,000km). unlike you guys' cases, the noise from my driver's rear.not front end......i took the car twice to the dealer but they said everything looks normal.....the other pain in the ass is that the car seems to bounce and shake gently on the wheels at low speed and vibration felt in the steering wheel is at its worst in the range of 80-100km/hr. i felt the car was unstable on highway but it tracked straight. no lose of control going over bumpy road..this is a new problem i have realized...i re-approached the svs manager at the dealership and he asked me to leave the car for 2 days this wed. canada got no lemon law. i might be on the hook.

i got rid of my mitsu eclipse to have a humble life and peace of mind
it seems honda has disappointed me big time

any input will be great
tks
