i completely agree with you sometimes it does sound like a tennis ball, kinda like what you hear watching pro tennis on tv. when i first got my car it would do it maybe once or twice while i was driving and only on big bumps.
then it started to also do it seldom when i made right hand turns, not its doing it a lot more even on smaller bumps, not turning even hardly any and even sometimes when i take off. seems like any change in weight on that side and its making the noise

My 07 Si Sedan does this as well. I never called the dealer on it yet. It's really bad when you go over a speed bump at like 2 mph. You can actually hear and feel it. It's like a bone popping out of joint kinda sound. It sounds really bad, but the car drives and handles fine. Just a major annoyance. I'll be sure to call my dealer next week. It's pretty easy to duplicate in my car.

I had an 06 Si Coupe that did not have this problem. Hmmm.

My 07 EX coupe ( manual ) has been doing this recently. I thought it was because of the Si wheels I put on. But this makes a lot more sense.

only thing is. my car isn't listed as one of the affected either..

If your model/VIN range are not listed on the TSB then your wasting your time. The dealer is going to say, "sir your vehicle is not affected, see it's not mentioned on the TSB, it was already fixed by Honda".

psh, my 07 fg2 is located anywhere near the VIN range but i have the same problem, and there really isn't anything it could be other than the strange "popping noise"

Well, maybe this can fall under my "Honda is fixing my right side clunking!" Thread.... (but they didn't fix it - it came back)

Mine is an 07, hopefully my VIN falls under that range. :)

I have the same problem as jgams. It's only happened once, but I thought the TSB would include all the vehicles.

I have only heard the noise once since I've owned the car, but I thought the TSB would cover all the models.

Honda Canada hasn't acknowledged the problem and released a corresponding TSB yet.

If you're reading HCM, GIT'ER DONE

Will Honda still cover the problem if you have after market springs????

Are they going to say that the problem is the car being dropped????

sorry if this question has been answered already, just want to make sure......

just dropped my car off. they made me ride with a Quality assurance guy who told me i was hearing things in the road, i then made the noise happen 3 times in 2 minutes, he told me he didnt hear it so i did it again. finally he heard it, we drove back to the dealership where the service manager was a complete cock bag. he told me not to get upset if they dont fix it because noises are hard to duplicate and that he didnt think there was anything they could do. i wanted to reach over the counter and grab him by his neck.....so i am not expecting them do anything. im sure they will come up with some bright idea why i am getting the popping noise.

i have to say.....there is a large difference in dealership experience between Acura and Honda. i had my 05 rsx-s in a few times for various things and never got treated like a piece of shit like i did today at honda. very unfortunate.

You should see the dealerships on Long Island. They totally suck balls. The only way I got my motor mount and belt replacement kit done was to get Honda corporate involved. I still had to bring the TSB's down and prove my vin number fell within the correct ranged.

Even after that it was a fight to get these things fixed.

This new TSB does cover my car but there is no way I am going to bring my car in for this cause I know I will get the same BS you got.

It's amazing how they don't want to fix shit unless it's a recall or you are paying out of pocked.
