07 major problems

Hey every one this is my first post on this forum other than the intro thread, My name is nathan i just came here from b15sentra.net (a member on there sent me over here) since my nissan is now dead i am going to purchase a new black si coupe on monday. I was wondering what major problems or problems if any should i be looking for
i tryed to search but didnt come up with much so if there is a thread that covers this already id appreciate a link

i havent experianced any of this with my 07 si..... maybe im just lucky.

yeah those are normal for our cars but they arent that major IMO. ... really 07's ddidnt have any major problems ... well for me they didnt.. my RR is doing just great

I must warn you the car is not built with quality or care in mind because its built in Canada. Interior quality is shit! some people have had mispainted bumpers from the factories! and other shit pop up,id advise you if you didnt already buy an SI to go look at something else like the Sentra or MS3 maybe GTI. Just look at the problems board youll see alot of shit about the Civics quality and how Honda took a major leap backwards in quality just like Toyota is moving backwards.

3rd gear was never a problem..

The only thing I have had issues with is some interior rattles which to me is not that bad...

The INTERIOR is fine and has NO SCRATCHES. I use Nano cleaneron interior and it works wonderfully.

I am very appreciative for this car.

well coming from the sentra forum i think there will be wayy less problems with a civic than the sentra that eats butteryfly screw and mashes them into the block and eats precats causeing the motor to blow and has the evap canister vent go bad all the time and other simple electricle problems
it seems on every forum there are usually people that have a hatred for the car they bought and always try to steer people away from it.
really i am just looking for major mechanical problems
1) what they are
2)if they are easy to fix or able to be fixed for that matter

I see some people on this forum who are very upset about their experiences with the 8th gen Civic.

In some case - every little thing that comes up is a big issue.

However, I get the impression that most are like me... there are some small problems, but nothing that I would really consider major. The biggest for me was cold shifting into 3rd gear, which I solved with the changeover to synthetic fluid.

I have to say that I really enjoy this car.

Civic Si is a good car IMO but yes it does have a few problems. 3rd Gear problem effects some cars but not all(Mine was effected). Oil Consumption I fixed by going synthetic. Rev Hang I hear is bad in the 06 Si's but there is a ECU fix for it. Blame Rev Hang on DBW. Overall its a fun car to drive, great gas mileage, Safe, and you can rape Mustangs....

Where are you pulling this data from? I tend to pull data from consumer reports and other review sites and I never see honda listed as a poor quality manufacturer. Every car has its quirks but I think I am gonna have to call "shennanigans" on this one.... everyone get your broom sticks. :)

#1 problem with 07 is the speed limiter and the traction control but i do love the extras the 07 got the guage colors floor mats

please list your source, as I think these claims are a little....off.

OP - I honestly would do some research on your own. Motor Trend obviously disagreed with the info stated above. I am not a Si fanboy at all, but those claims are the FIRST of the kind that I have EVER seen.

wats up man i have an 07 si and i got it about 3 months ago and i lover everything about the car, except for the transmission don't get me wrong its an awesome transmission for someone who is going to drive it like Honda wants you to drive it but if your used to ripping through gears and having fun its not going to happen well at least it doesn't happen with mine, 90 percent of the time when i try and switch into second at red line it doesn't want to go in unless i pull it in slow and i have to take it back up slow into 3rd but you will get used to it and imo thats the only problem, o0o and allot of people have problems with noise after dropping the car, but i don't have no probs an i have skunk2 springs.
