No I haven't heard of it; however, check the catalytic converter's heat shield; it may have popped loose for some reason. That is a common problem in older cars but it is unusual for 2100 miles. Maybe some work was done in that area and it was not rebolted properly.

I'm not sure if you're experiencing the same thing I am, but first thing in the morning (or after work) I do hear a slight buzz or rattle at around 3k rpm, and then it stops. It's faint, so I can only hear it if the windows are up. It only rattles the first time it gets to ~3k, and then nothing more.

any update
Hey,
I found you thread and am actually having the exact same problem. I have been to the dealership and to an exhaust shop to have it looked at, but nobody seems to know what it is. It is so annoying, and it is getting more prevalent. I can only hear mine between like 2500 and 4000. I'd love to hear if you got any more info on that. Thanks! |
