Transmission...

So I just bought an 07 EX with an automatic transmission... And now I'm kicking myself for not getting a manual. I know its possible to do AT to MT conversions, but I was just wondering how possible it is. As in what a pricetag for something like that would look like. Or am I better off just waiting until I can afford Si insurance?

This type of conversion would likely be thousands+. New tranny, clutch, flywheel, shifter, shift linkage, possibly new tranny mounts, maybe new ECU or ECU program, etc., etc. Projects like this often suffer from unexpected problems down the road. If you do this project you are almost guaranteed to have warranty issues if anything ever happens to the car, whether it's from what you did or not. You are better off just driving it the way it is, or trading it in.

Yeah, I kinda figured it would be that pricey. I'll be able to stick it out(no pun intended) until I trade in or something. Thanks though.

Trade of wait. You will get used to the ATF, just give it some time, even though it can act quirky sometimes.

I think trying to convert your transmission to manual isn't worth it. As mentioned, the price will be ridiculous. You already paid extra money for an automatic and now you're jumping ships. In the end, you will have the same car with a manual transmission with a lot of its power train warranty voided. You're better off waiting for a better opportunity.
