Is there a "fix" to our proned sunvisors?EDIT 7/31/07 PICS ADDED!

Well, in the last week the heat here in eastern Washinton has risen to 105 degrees! My 07 Civic EX sedan's sunvisors are comming apart like alot of other 8th gen owners. I went to my "friendly" Honda dealer and asked them about a "fix" to these sunvisors. The service manager said that as of right now he did not know of a "fix" to the problem. All they can do is replace them with the same crappy visors that are going to seperate again and break.

I e-mail Paul @ College Hills Honda and he said he did not know of the problem at all (not a problem in Ohio)..... I figured they whould know before anyone else does.

Anyways, does anyone on here know of a "fix".....

COME ON HONDA!!!! I can't shut my visors!

If I were you, I'd just keep going back and having them replace them when they crack. I haven't experienced this problem...yet.

Well If you live where it gets above 90 degrees you will- I am surprised no one else on here has anything else to say about the visors. I was hoping someone had gone to their dealer and found out some great news!

I didn't think it would happen to mine- My Civic was made 2/07 and posts about this issue have been around for a year before that. You would think by now Honda would have figured this out. Its so friggen frustrating! I cant even shut the visors at this point! If I try to shut them- they will break. Now I have to "ride" in my wife's '03 neon - Barf! I bought the Civic to show her how a real car is made- and now this visor issue combined with the problematic A/C which sounds like is about to explode when you turn it on- GOOD JOB HONDA!!!

I don't think there's a fix for it. Mine broke last week and I called the dealer to order me one. The parts dude asked me for the interior color code and checked stock. They even have the part in stock. The parts dude said it's a very common issue on this gen of Civics. I went to the dealer the same and and had it replaced in about 1 hour. I just wish Honda would make a different visor. If it breaks again, I'll call them up again. Oh well.

the only problem i've had with mine is that, when i corner, it swings around. I've gotten used to it so i catch it with my forehead and just kinda butt it back into place but i haven't heard about it cracking. exactly which part of it are we talking about?

wow that'd kind of odd. i live in arizona so it gets up to 110 these days. i know what you are talking about, but it's never actually broken apart like that for me.

when i go to pull it down (or put it back up) sometimes i can see it start to pop open so i just stop, put it back, and then hold the part thats popping open as i pull it back down (or up). i'd much rather do this than have to keep having it replaced -_-

Yeah, taejinah I was doing the same thing- assisting the visor while you shut it to keep it from breaking- now it broke for good!

hey I live in a apt so my car is in the elements all day and night and it is going to be over 100 today and has already in the past month or so and never had this issue. I would take it back and get them replaced and maybe you want to keep them up when you are not using them.

Take it into the dealer. They will fix it for free under warranty. This happened on my mother's '06 sedan on the driver side.
