clutch pedal vibration when shifting

Hi,

I learned to drive manual on my r18 civic and recently I noticed that sometimes there is a weird vibration feeling (resistance feeling) when I depress the clutch when shifting. Also happens when I engage the clutch after shifting. I find that this vibration only occurs if I shift above 3000rpm sometimes. There is no weird vibration when starting from a stop. If I am coming to a stop and shift to neutral with pedal off the gas, there is no vibration feeling on the clutch.

Also, I found that if I shift at above 5000rpm, there is always a vibration (resistance) on the clutch when I depress it to switch gears.

Does anyone know if this is normal?
The car only has 2100km on it.

Thanks in advance.

As far as it being normal, all I can say is I have never noticed it on my car. Have you taken it to a dealer? They will probably say they didn't notice it or it is normal, but you never know.
You mentioned that you learned to drive manual transmission on this car. Do you have reason to believe you did something to it, or do you just not know if it is normal because this is your first?

i'd drive another 8thcivic and compare the two. Might be the only way to tell if you have a problem. There's members in your area, look em up

i just don't know if its normal because its my first manual car.

I will probably take it to the dealer but the pedal vibration only happens on occasion, like once every couple of days, so i think it will be hard to duplicate.

If you do take it to the dealer, be careful about mentioning that this is your first manual transmission car. Even though you know you didn't do anything to harm your clutch, they will undoubtedly try to blame you so they don't have to pay.
While you are there see it they will let you drive a different one to compare to yours. If the vibration/resistence isn't there you will know whether or not to press the issue with the dealer if they claim not to be able to feel it. Good luck.
