Engine codes after removing body pieces?
OK I had to change the title so people weren't confused.
Ok so I'm doing about 85 on the highway today and out of the blue I hear crazy scraping in my front end. I immediately thought I blew a tire but when i stopped to check it out it turns out that my splash shield came down from the front end and passenger side wheel well. Crap! So I proceed to take it off the car so i can put it back on when I got home. When I got back in to drive home I noticed I had a CEL and the VSA led's were on as well. Can anyone tell me why this might be? It's too dark to look at the car now but I wont be able to sleep if I dont find out why I have this CEL. Why would me removing the splash shield cause a CEL? UPDATE: I had Autozone pull the CEL codes p0301-5, which are all cylinder misfires. WHAT? Are there any sensors down there, O2? Car runs great by the way. Not hesitating or anything. I don't know. Thanks for any help guys. |

![]() I want a technical answer. Maybe someone knows why this happened. I have a CAI which has given me no problems before this happened and I want to go in the dealer armed with information so they don't pawn it off on that. |
