anyone had luck with the dealer as far as paint issues

as the title says, i was wondering if anyone ever got any help from the dealer or found something to help themselves with the crappy paint. the chips and the swirls suck. dont want to buy the bra as ive heard it can cause worse problems let alone the appearance and even worse is the clear bra for a few hundred more. would a good 5 or so coats of wax help??

Wax won't do anything as far as helping resist chips. Get the clear bra if you want to keep it looking new for years.

I have the 3M clear bra. After a brutal canadian winter, front still loks brand new.

Best investment i've ever made on my FG2.

Wax will help by protecting your paint against environmental contaminents, it will lessen the damage of bugs on the frong of your car, etc. I don't think it's going to protect against rock chips, especially with our paint.

Near my passenger's side headlight, on the centermost area, the gap between the bumper and the headlight, the bumper's paint was chipping and peeling off (from factory, apparently), and I raised hell until they covered it under warranty. Well they did, but all the effers did was touch it up...

I have a few stone chips that the dealer has repaired for free after me bitching about how easily the paint gets scratched or chipped. My previous 3 other Hondas all had the same problem, so Im used to it.

I have a bunch of little cracks all over the hood. I just noticed them the other day when I waxde my car. Thank god, because I had about 200 miles left on the warranty when I noticed.

Honda is repainting the hood for me under warranty, I'm bringing it in tomorrow.

I'm interested in one of these clear bras when I'll be picking up my Si. Is it easy to apply and remove at any given time? Also, what is the price?

Oh I wouldn't know about removing it, but I think it's like a decal. Just heat up the glue and it should peel off.

Can't remember the price exactly. $600 I think?

How durable is it? I mean the longevity of it.

Edit: Nevermind I stopped being lazy and looked it up.
