.MP3/.WMV Files????

I believe I read on the window sticker of my 07 Civic LX Coupe that the stereo played .MP3 files. How the *~#+ does it to that? MP3 files are much smaller than .WAV, therefore if I could figure out how to put MP3's on a CD, I know I could get an incredible amount of music on a CD. OR.............. is there another way that Honda is talking about that I can not figure out?

Help is appreciated, guys!

Yes, it play's MP3's. I use iTunes... but that's my preference.... Upload your music to the computer, convert to MP3 format, burn as MP3 CD. There are NUMEROUS ways to do this and just as many programs that will allow you to do this.

FYI, if you have an iPod/mp3 player, you can pick up a $5 cable at Target, Radio Shack, etc. and play your iPod through the aux. input jack.

What model do you have (DX, LX, EX, Si)? 2 or 4 door?

If I recall, all models are MP3 capable with the exception of the DX.

I finally broke down and bought an iPod so I DON'T have to keep stacks of CD's in the car! LOL

Not that I've ever seen.

well went out and tried my mp3 cd again, it worked this time. it took a few seconds to read cd. convert your cd to mp3 file and burn to a data disc, a great way not to worry about having a cd changer.

My music tastes always change, so I've probably had about 6-10 CDs in my car full of MP3's.

Over 150 mp3's can be put on a 700mb cd (give or take depending on song sizes), so 10 cd's=1500 songs. More than enough for me.

Ditto... I'd usually do 7-10 full albums on each CD.

You can burn a cd with mp3's, different folders with mp3's (Albums) on a cd and it willplay in the car without issue. I have an 06 LX... I have Cds with tons of music..all mp3s. The tune button on the right allows you to jump btween albums if u have morw than 1 folder on a cd. Simple.. or as others suggested, use an mp3 player or ipod.. u would need an aux cable though.
