Ouch. Ding.

I pulled into a parking lot on a windy day and opened my door, like anyone would to get out of their car. I let go of the door for a fraction of a second and i hear a bang coming from my door, and notice that i've nailed a Mercedes. 5 months later, still no call from the owner of the mercedes (left my name/adress on their car under the windshield.) Still haven't been able to fix the ding, but i was wondering if anyone could reccomend a good, well priced body shop around the north chicago suburbs.

Also, How bad is this, its right on the rear edge of the door.:

I am,

any body shop can fix that. but they will probably either paint just your door or have to blend in that whole side of your car

I commend you for leaving your information for the other owner. You took responsibility for it even though you could have blamed the wind for it. We need more people like you in the world. You can count on the owner not calling you back your reward.

Sorry about your door bud, hopefully you'll find a reputable body shop to fix the ding.

ditto- first week I had my car some jackass put a deep ding in the side corner. There needs to be more people like you out there cause accidents do happen & just have to take responsibility for it.

About a 3inch x 2inch scrape in the driver's side door.
