And the survey says.........:

-Clay bar? Yes.
-Polish and wax? Yes.
-Two buckets? Yessir - wouldn't have it any other way! One soap, one clean. I even empty and refill the clean water about 3-4 times through one wash.
-Rinse first? I dunno, maybe...I go over it with the hose all around, and then each area I'm about to wash gets sprayed down again right before washing.
-Start from the top? Of COURSE! lol. Well...maybe not exactly, I degrease the bottom first, and depending on my mood, I might wash the wheels first - but both of those steps require a whole seperate bucket and wash mitt.

I'm kinda leary on that duster, but what you're saying makes sense. I guess if you don't apply any pressure, and it truly is static energy removing the dust/dirt then there's not too much to worry about...I freak out whenever someone even lightly rubs against, or runs thier finger on even a small part of my car when it's dirty/dusty.

Dont ever wipe away dust, even with the california duster. wiping dust is like polishing the car with dirt. If you car about microscratches dont do anything just wait for the next washing when you can just hose it off

That's why you wax your car dude. You scratch the wax, that is protecting your
clear coat. (use a micro fibre cloth, and voila, gleaming)

If you haven't waxed your car, then (no)obviously you don't do that. If you don't know how to polish and wax the micro scratches out, then (no)obviously don't do it.
