The only warranty it should void is the intake warranty. I asked the dealership about my honda if the SRI would void anything, he said just the intake... and if the engine *Blew up* thats still under warranty =)

at alot of dealerships they really dont care if you have aftermarket parts installed..now if we can DIRECTLY relate the broken/bad part to aftermarket failures then we will not warranty it..

just because you have a cai and a trans problem the two do not relate.

if i buy an HFP axleback and install it on my 09 civic lx myself, would that void my warranty?

Why would it? If the install is done correctly and since it is an HFP part, why worry? An axle back is about the simplest mod one can make. Again, warranty work is called into question if there is a causal relationship between the aftermarket part and the damaged or broken factory part. An HFP muffler can hardly do any damage to the rest of the car.

1) If you removed your cat the ONLY part of the car they could void thw warranty on is the exhaust.
2) NO dealer has the right to impound your car because of how modded it is, even if it's illegally modded.[/Q

just remember it is illegal to not run a cat... emissions
only in some states

if ur scared for them knowing for ur mods just do it and dont take it to the dealer any more. i asked my dealer what can i do for mods on my car, this guy said,"nothing well honda wont let u increase the internal hp of the car, they will void it." I had an intake at the time too his dumbas* doesnt know crap for cars cuz i pulled up revin up a bit a left reving up a bit all u hear is suction from it. I know have a Vibrant Catless RH and a LSD Catback. i havent been there since i had my very first FREE oil change. now i do it myself if anything happens i will put all my stock parts back on and tell them i dunno what happened it just went kaboom! Save all ur stock parts just in case if ur scared. i dont care for warranty cuz i bought to get reflashed in about a month the get a kit so forget Honda

My suspension has a creaking noise and i went to the dealership and made them look stupid because they blamed it on the intake and I told them that intake isn't drive-train

my dealer sucks its probably one of the worst in cali (Robertson Honda) and the problem, they wont fix it but its cool because i made them look stupid and no matter what I cant make them fix it even though I proved them wrong which really sucks and I was about to beat the guys ass trying to get tough with me because every time I go there they act like I don't know my own car and they never fix ****

Honda warranty=The biggest BS!!!!!

Installing aftermarket tail lights that are plug and play?
Is it possible to take the Tail Lights up to the Dealership and have them install just so I can show they approved it?

Today i sent my car to dealer for a clutch since its slipping. The same guy gave me a problem last time i went for my neons and saying thats y my amp blew. Today hes asking what i got done under the hood i told him minor stuff intake etc. He then proceeded to tell me that may void my warranty cu it increase the rev limit. I tild him that has nothing to do with my trans and he immediatly said the engine drives the trans. I know what will void my warranty and that will be the reflash and header but without Honda services written proof that the part is defective ir caused the problem! Im afraid of them that they might not warranty my clutch. I hope they do buy im ready for a fight witj them. I will keep posted about this issue

Well the warranty people from American Honda Corp. didn't warranty my clutch. reason being the warranty guy said i abused to the point of no return. i asked the dealer, "if its true about the warranties and how if u take off ur stock intake and replace with aftermarket will it void only that one piece," they said, "yes". i also asked, "if i take my cat off will it void the whole exhaust from the catback?" they responded yes only that again". and i asked, "for the header will it void that?" they said, " yes" again. i didn't tell them about my reflash cuz i know for sure anything internal the engine or electrical such as a chip it will void the complete warranty. i asked the dealer, "do u think the guy said no for my warranty on my clutch because he was a d*** about seeing my mods?" they said again im pretty much sure!"

well, this is good news for me! my 07 si coupe that i got last week is asking for a CAI + performance package muffler (collegehillshonda.com) and i was wondering about it and my extended warranty, but it looks like i have nothing to worry about! im a total noob so ill most likely have them install at the dealership.

It will only void out what u change now when u go internal such as ecu upgrades, cams, etc. or forced induction then u can say bye bye warranty! They only denied me cuz they proved that i personally eft my clutch from high heat it wore out faster. I raced atleast once a week for the past couple yrs now i regret it cuz i have no trans in my car and its summer! Still undefeated though!

No im pretty sure its illegal for someone to tell you that you cant work on your own car. But if any one is curious even if your vehicle is leased you can add parts to your car if you clear it with the dealership. Ex: Radio, new speakers, convenience systems. The reason you can do this is because it raises the cars value. Not sure how but I have had customers ask the dealership and they had given them the ok.

I was told the same, they dont care about mods, just wont warranty that part. If you have suspension your suspension is no longer covered. The popping in the front is easily fixable. I have installed several sets of coilovers on 8th gens and no popping. The suspension has become my specialty. Just installed set of Buddyclub N+ in an hour last night. I love this car.

They will use anything/ everything they can to deny warranty work. It all depends on the dealer. HOA will back the dealer. I just went to arbitration. Honda is claiming FlashPro caused my 2nd gear problems and that it voids my warranty. It is now up to the arbitrator's ruling. I made it quite clear to the Honda rep that I currently own 2-'07 Si, a '07 Accord, a '04 Pilot and that I will never buy another Facking Acura/Honda car, bike, mower etc.
