Trunk Release Problems
I have a problem that I haven't seen anyone having before. It looks like the case on my trunk release motor has come off. It seems like it is just the case for the motor that is used when you use the pop trunk on the key. It seems like the pull lever in the cab is cable drivin and not affected. Can anyone confirm this?

I took it in to the dealer Tuesday, after I got a call my parts, were in and had them replace the trunk thing and the passenger sunvisor. The parts came quick and they didn't try to deny any warranty work etc. They even told me my driver visor is coming apart and went ahead and ordered a new one for me.
Then yesterday I was washing my car and I noticed a nice little scratch along the trunk that I know wasn't there when I left it with them. I was pretty pissed so today I went back expecting to have to raise hell/talk to the manager etc. I walked in and waited for the service person I had been dealing with to get off the phone then he greated me by my name and I showed him the scratch and told him I found it when I washed it yesterday. Without any hesitation he said no problem we will take care of that for you just come back when our paint guy is here. So I was in my car leaving and realized he never said anything about "free etc" I only assumed. So i turned around and went back he confirmed that they would take care of it for no charge. It would have been nice if I never had this issue, but sh*t happens and I was just surprised that they are fixing it and standing up to their work with no complaints etc. I hear so many stories online of dealers never fixing stuff like this I just thought I would share my experience. I am wondering if they were intimidated cause I have an 8th civic sticker on my windows, because they better be damn sure I would express my anger online to everyone if I wasn't satisfied. The dealer I went to is Stevenson Honda on College Road, in Wilmington NC and I was dealing with Bob Tomlin. I will keep you all updated and let you know how the painting goes. Here are some pictures that show the scratch. It is hard to see cause my camera sucks, but it starts near the license plate as a very light scratch then stretches all the way over to the turn signal where it becomes a full on "keyed" like scratch. ![]() ![]()
