Si 2nd Gear Issues?

what's everyone's take on the 2nd gear issue? i can get it in gear fine, but it sometimes sounds like the linkage is snapping in hard and there's a slight grind. it happens when i'm really revving up high, and has happened once or twice down low. thoughts?

Happens to me everytime I redline it in first and shift quickly into 2nd. Now I just pause slightly and then shift to 2nd.

That's what I've been doing too - with the rev hang, it seems like I can land right back in the range anyway. I swear it's grinded in lower rpms too once or twice, but that coulda been me being sloppy.

Don't worry, I've heard that weird "clank" at lower RPMs. It sounds like metal slapping together. I've learned to pause at the higher RPMs too.

Cool - not just me then. I'm always paranoid about my driving.

Does the amsoil fix help this as well?

Only happens to me when i rush it. Its like my arm is 2 tenths quicker than my clutch foot but it never happens in another gear.

Yea, 2nd gear sucks. I always shift it at 7500 rpm just so it wont grind. I was being extra careful one day and did it slow and hit the clutch to the floor, slammed 2nd and it grinded in w/ the clutch down so i know its not driver error

Yeah, I been wondering if anyone's been having this problem. I've been driving K20z3Vo's Si and sometimes when I hit redline and shift into 2nd..it grinds...but I know that my foot is completely down on the clutch. Has happened a couple of times in low and midrange RPMS. Anybody know the cause of this?

looks like the solution might be to shift a bit slower from 1->2
