Exclamation Is This Possible

I was told that I can take a 2007 cr-v head that is a 2.4L and put it into my 2007 honda civic SI. Does anyone know if this is true and what power gains will I get from this? Can anyone answer that?

:edited by a mod: - please refrain from typing in all caps. It's not needed, and is looked as as SCREAMING. Thanks

Haven't heard of a CRV head on a k20Z3 block. Yet...

It's the other way around. It's taking a K24 and putting a K20 head on it.

The CRV has the economy VTEC system. You want the 2.4 Liter block and put the Si head on it.

In short, no, it's not worth it. Enjoy your car how it is, the factory block is spectacular. Besides, I'm not sure if the K24 block has piston oil squirters, and who knows what kind of compression you're gonna have with that bore and stroke. You will need extensive ECU tuning to compensate. Spend your money on better engine mods, like aggressive camshafts or the like (which will also require ECU tuning).

But if you're really pursuing this notion of swapping blocks, honda-tech.com or k20a.org are the best places to find knowledgeable members.

is it worth it? ive seen a bubble swapped out with a tsx motor hitting low 12's with just the swap and some tires but i think our cars are alot heavier.
