Delay wiper feature.

I dont know if anybody has stated this. I searched and didn't find it. So here it goes. This may very with model, but in my Si with the wipers in delay. Come to a stop or be stopped and turn them on and every time you let off the brake pedal the wipers will sweep. It is designed to sweep upon take off to clear the windshield for visibility. If everybody knows this then cool. If you didn't now you do. :)

Not sure. Go try it.turn the ign. on. set the wipers to delay. Push and hold the brake pedal(make sure the park brake is released).once the wipers are down let off the brake. They should sweep.push the brake pedal.when the wipers return down release the brake again.they should sweep again and so fourth.

yup this has been covered a couple times... i believe its right around 10 to 12 mph that the wipers start to cycle faster from a dead stop.

yep, it does this in my 06 EX. I was surprised when it happened the first time. I like this feature a lot though. It's these subtle things that make me love my Civic.

I noticed the wipers sweep when I let off the brake, but never noticed the wipers go faster when I speed up in my 07 LX.

^^ I know the topic wiper delay time changes when stopped. but the brake pedal release also triggers the wipers to sweep. Or was that also mentioned. I searched and couldn't find a topic for the brake pedal triggers wiper sweep.

Yeah if the wipers are set for a short delay. when you slow to a stop the delay time becomes longer. When you take off back to road speed they resume your set delay time.
