Injen CAI help

I want to install my Injen CAI, but I don't want to cut the fender to install it, I'm planning on just putting like something in between it so it doesn't rub. Will this work out?

Does Injen make Hydro shields for the Injen CAI? So in case I do end up having to cut it, I want to have like something that will block the water just in case my wheel sprays water into there. I have madddd rain down here in Louisiana so thanks for any help

Sorry if this has already been answered, but I don't honestly have time to search at the moment so please don't flame me or close this

You will see a buldge in your fender liner if you don't cut it. I didn't cut mine and it was fine for the 20,000 kilometers. I don't think putting something in between the two is a good idea. There's already very little space.

Yes, they have hydroshields. I think you can find it on http://www.corsportusa.com/

I meant putting like some foam or something in between there, something durable yet soft so it's not plastic on plastic and maybe that rubbing will eventually lead to the piping having a hole in it

I installed mine about a week ago without having to cut. Basically just popped the two tabs off the fender wall behind the wheel (turned the wheel all the way left) and slid the intake in that way. It took a little bit of effort to snap the pins back in, but it eventually did. There's really not much of a bulge at all. And I really dont think that the aluminum will wear a hole if its rubbing up against plastic. some sort of padding in between wouldn't hurt, though.

There shouldn't be any wear between the pipe and the wheel well.

Same here. You don't have to cut and I ran my car through an auto wash with undercarriage spray and it did not get the filter wet. I think you'll be alright. Taking the tabs off takes literally seconds vs cutting.

I didn't even take out the tabs when I installed it, I just shoved it in there.

I didnt cut mine, I did put a hose clamp on the intake right where it rubs on the sheet metal, so it rubbed on the clamp instead.
