is this normal?

lately i have been noticing that when i roll my windows up or down, my car shakes a bit. it almost feels like the rpm's r dropping n the car is going to die out, but the rpm's never move. is this normal? and also, when i put my car into reverse, i hear a weird sound from my motor, it only comes from the left side. it sounds like its coming from my CAI but im not sure, and for about 3 or 4 days, it does it sometimes when im slowing down or at a complete stop. i have an automatic. i dont know if anyone else with a/t has had the same problems? any info would help. im just worried something is wrong with my car.

The window thing is normal.......the amp draw makes the engine idle a lil slower and it shudders slightly.

The whine in reverse is normal........every car i have ever been in does that.

ok...cus i was just getting worried, i never noticed it untill i got my CAI. but even then it just started doing it. just curious, this is my first new car n dont want to **** my shit up. thanx..

Eh, when I pull into my parkade from getting home, I Auto-down my driver's side, then hold down passenger side while hitting my sunroof. All three at once, and I never get a drop in my RPMs.

I would get that looked at. If you're under warranty, take it in for every little thing.

Its the weak Alternator we have. It is weak and noisy. Is there any aftermarket alternator out there?

I have the same problem with my windows on my EX luckily im not the only one. Are you infact sure its the alternator causing the problem?

My experience with cars that have had 4 cylinders is that they seem to often be more affected by amp draw than cars with larger motors. My G35 doesn't experience any shudders while my Acura Integra shudders a lot. Nothing to worry about.

my interior lights dim when using my power windows..but no rpm dropage here..maybe you have a weak battery?

no... it doesnt drop rpm's, but i feels like it. i looked at it when it happens and it dont drop, just feels like it.

Stock hondas do not have heavy duty alternators. The drop in RPMs is normal. The tach is also off by 200RPMS those needle tachs are always off by around that much, so it may not drop on the tach reading. If you stuck an SAFC in there or something it would show a drop...I guarantee it

ok...but what about the noise coming from my front left, sounds like its coming from my CAI. doesnt do it all the time but enough to bother me.
