When painting part of your car
As many of you know my passenger door got keyed and it needs to be re painted. I was wondering, if the body shop paints that one door, would the color look different from the whole car even though they reapinted it with Figi Blue and i gave the my vin number? My parents are convinceing me not to repaint the door because they said the color will not look the same when it is repainted but i just cant live with a big long keyed mark on the car....help me with this Thanks.

oh man this is a tuff question but i'm not gonna lie to you...when getting your car back fresh out the body shop it may look awesome and seemed like it matched perfectly but after a while it will somehow look dis-colored and not matching anymore due to i don't know but different variables. good luck man..

A good body shop will blend the whole side so you can not tell if one part of the side is repaired/painted.
The key is to find a reputable body shop ,cars get keyed or scratched all the time and your situation is not any different from others with an accident/dent on the door on the side, but you can only see the bad jobs ,since the the perfectly blended paint job will be very hard to tell. |
