So today I tried out the trunk lock thing on the inside (you can lock it then give the person the valet key so they cant open it)

Now, I locked it with the master key, tried with the valet key (of course it didnt work) then tried to open it (unlock) with the master key and AHH! it wont unlock! Help me, no matter which postion i turn it it wont unlock the lever =[

i have no experience with this car, but on my old car if the valet key tried to open the trunk, it completely locked it up. We had to get inside the car and crawl to the trunk to pop it open

that may be so you are aware that the valet was trying to get into your trunk...

try looking in the manual to see if there is a way to unlock it.

May be you could fold the back seats and crawl inside the trunk and use the release lever on the trunk latch.

Imagine if you could. You go through all that precaution locking your trunk with a master key and slick valet guy just crawls and opens your trunk from inside and wallah, he is in possession of your dirty laundry and some other junk that doesn't fit in your house.

But I bet the 02 Accent did not have a valet key. It probably didn't even have a remote. I know my elder 00 Mazda had locks inside the trunk, but the actual levers were inside the cabin. Now civic is simple, it just has the levers inside the trunk so if you are ever transported inside the civic trunk, you can crawl back and surprise everyone.

pop trunk, fold seats down, close trunk, crawl through, use emergency release handle...

did that work?

Call your service tech at the dealership on the phone and tell him your problem. If there's a quick fix (and it's a decent dealership), he might know what it is or he can ask someone. You might avoid a trip to the dealer... Good Luck!
