Creaky Brake (Drums?)

I've got an 07 LX Coupe MT, which means rear drum brakes. I've noticed that they are quite creaky, and whenever I'm stepping on the brake pedal, I hear creaky/"groaning spring" sounds from the rear area. It sounds like the groaning springs on an old mattress.

The further I step on the brake pedal, the more groaning/creaking I hear. Now, it's been a while since I've had a car with rear drums, but I'm sure they're not supposed to sound like this....?

I would pull the e-brake a few times and see if that helps. Maybe they need adjustment? If not, pull the drums off and take a look. Spray down with brake cleaner.
