Noisy ventilation fan?

Does any one else have an annoying fan noise when the fan is set above half-way? I have a buzzing noise in my 07 Si that sounds like a piece of paper is flapping against the fan blades or something. Is this normal or something that can be fixed?

i was noticing the same thing, and it is really annoying, if you take it back to the dealer they will probablly take your whole dash apart to find the problem , i dont use the fan to much so im gonna leave it like that

I had that problem for a while and one day it just went away.

Hmmmm...Only time I ever worried about noisy vent fans was when I was growing...

Carefully pull your glovebox out and take out the filter container for the ventilation system. I think you can see the fan behind it so see if there's anything visibly hitting the fan.

I hear the same exact thing. it sounds like a piece of paper flapping really fast. You can only hear it when the fan is set to a fast speed and on the face vents. it doesnt happen when on the floor vents.

I hear the same exact thing, when it's set above half-way and on face vents. It's super annoying, everyone who rides with me asks what the hell that noise is...I have no answer.

Same. I've got that too. It's the worst when set to dash vents only, max fan speed, and both side vents closed. Sounds like paper flapping.

Same issue with my 08 Si Sedan, glad I am not the only one. It is much more pronounced if you close the outer two vents...try it.

me too! hahaha everybody has the same issue.. the noise is coming from the vent, the one above the emergency light.

I just confirmed the same phenomenon on the general manager of the dealers 07 Si sedan. The master tech who rode with me looking at my steering issue confirmed, all the Si's and Civic's in general do it too.
