spark plug gaskets

decided to change the plugs while changing the oil today. i noticed that anti-seeze was no longer necassary. the spark plug company now includes cardboard gaskets for the spark plug threads! i was so excited. It was really hard to thread the spark plugs in so i guess its a really tight seal.

im thrilled about the new spark plug gaskets but now my car is running odd. is it from the added hp?

Buddy,
I am new to this site and mostly I read post not respond to them but as someone said you are joking right?

What cardboard are you talking about and no the car is not runnign right because of all of the HP, what HP gains can you possibly expect from changing the oil and spark plugs?

You might want to not run your car if you put the sprk plugs in with the Cardboard sleeves designed to protect the element from damage while in the box?

you must be thinking of the blinker fluid. You have to change your spark plugs every oil change, which is about every 1000 miles. That's unfortunately one of the pitfalls of owing one of these cars..

this from the guy that raved about steam cleaning the inside of his engine by draining out the oil and replacing it with water...don't take anything he has to say seriously at all.

expensive, and time consuming..

I recommend you do the drain plug removal mod - not only are you making your car lighter, and thus faster, but you're also reducing the resistance by removing the fluid from the engine..

your blinker fluid keeps your blinkers from seizing up, you really should read up on it.

Awesome tip, retaining the cardboard to save on never seize. Another excellent tip I do, I get free packing tape from work so I use it to wrap the treads of my tires. I suspect I can get 200 000 miles a set now. I'll have to use duck tape for winter driving though.
