"Body seam" clunking/knocking noise issue!!!

This thread is in reference to the following issue on the following thread:
Rattling/clunking suspension?

Basically, as I mentioned in the other thread, the issue that I am having is that I hear a knocking or clunking sound n the rear passeneger area when coming to slow down below 15 mph, or about to move in 1st gear. I then took it to dealership yesterday. They inspected all of the suspension (which initially i suspected was the root cause of the noise), and everything was fine. They closely inspected the source of the sound and then told me that it was the "body seam" that is causing it and that I would have to leave it for minimum of 2 days because they have to take out the whole rear panel and backseat. And the messed up part is that they wont give me a rental. Ofcourse, this got me real upset.

I did an intensive search on this website on the "body seam" issue. I only found one person who had the same issue in the thread above. My question to you guys is: What exactly are the components of the "body seam" that would cause this clunking or knocking noise, especially in low speeds (about 5mph)?
What do you guys generally know about the "body seam"?
The mechanic i spoke to said that it might be a loose bolt, but he wasnt sure.
Do you guys think it is a loose bolt, or something else?
Any info regarding this newly addressed issue. Thanks!

It's most likely your rear suspension. A lot of people have had their passenger-side suspension replaced. It's hard to pinpoint this noise, I thoroughly checked my rear wheel and brake before realizing it was the shock. You should probably try another dealer. The body seam thing is BS. When I took my car to the dealer, they immediately said it was the rear shock and it would be replaced under warranty. It took them 30 minutes to find the problem. The install takes about an hour.

I dunno bro, they checked the whole rear suspension and they said it was fine. I originally suspected that it was the shock, but they said they checked it out and it was ok. Im like , wtf is body seam....the service lady said that the Acura TSX has same problem.

Could be your gas in the gas tank, too. Thats normal. Fill up the tank and see if you hear it. Also, see if you hear it when you barely ahve any gas.

Well, right now my gas tank is 1/4 full. It still making the knocking sounds.
Also, when it was almost full, it still did the same sounds. and it is coming from the rear right side, NOT the rear left side (where the gas tank is located). Anyways, I am dropping it off at the honda dealership on Monday.
They said it might take days because the body seam is behind the panels and they have to take the seats out and rear panels out. I dunno..... I hope they dont fuk anything up in the processs , i get paranoid about these things.

Open the trunk. Push down gently on the rear bumper and listen for the sound. Assuming you hear it clearly, carefully pull the covering off the right side of the side of the trunk. This will expose the rear shock top. Place your hand on top of the shock, and then push down again on the rear bumper. You should be able to feel the rear shock moving around and actually feel the shock making the noise.

99% it is the rear shock absorber...
