idle question

i have an 07 ex couple. i did a search but didnt find anything.

so as i am decelerating, i have noticed that as i approach idle, my rpms will go down to 400-500 and then up to 1000 before settling down to 650-700 at a complete stop. this is especially noticeable at night. any ideas of what is causing this?

i have a injen CAI and i cant remember if this was happening before my install. i did let my car idle for ~15 min after the install to let the computers adjust to the new airflow.

thanks

What kind of transmission do you have? Does the car feel like it's bogging under normal operating conditions? It shouldn't be jumping up and down. I just know that your RPMs will never stay steady until it sits and the steering wheel or power steering isn't engaged.

Mine does this too on my Si but very rarely.....maybe once every week or two. It never happened until I installed the Injen CAI. I should also mention it only happens when I'm stopped and rev the engine a little

sorry...i have a manual.

i thought it was weird that its fluctuating so much. 500rpm jump seemed like a lot to me. my problem is happening pretty much everyday for me, not as much during the day...but definetly noticeable at night.
