The GreenHybrid forum reports that the mpg gauge has wild inaccuracies on the hybrid model.

Most of these problems do not affect 99% of civic owners. I for one was only affected by the gas pedal recall, and my pedal was fine.

Wow...some of you have had some bad luck with your cars. The biggest problem I had was my sunroof not being flush with the roof on a couple of occasions (once it was too low on the passenger side, and then once it was too high...but the problem has happened to my knowledge only twice and as so far not resurfaced. If it occurs again I will take the vehicle in for warranty work.

I've got the typical noises in the rear deck (virbrating in the panels just behind the seats when hitting bumps), My steering wheel has a slight squeak when I turn left about 40-45 degrees from center, neither is a big deal and can't be heard unless the radio is off and the windows are up.

Aside from that the car runs, drives, and looks great. None of the recalls have seemed to affect me yet.

Just out of curiosity...how do you know if your led gas gauge is reading incorrectly? Do you run out of gas when the the gauge says you have fuel remaining or what?

My problems aren't that great but here they are
1. Lose noise coming from the back (Gone now)
2. Lots of dirty and mist gets under the hood and into the engine bay (never had that happen with any other cars I've driven)
3. Drive side door doesn't shut properly (sticks out a bit from the side panels, no damage done)

Other than this stuff everything else is just perfernce. But the car is still a great car. Have to say i am pretty happy overall, the problems don't change much on my opinion.

I wish I only had the problem of keeping my car clean. I have the neutron metallic blue and it gets dirty so fast.

for those people in colder climates, after your car has been sitting for awhile
outside, do you get a sqeeling sound from your front end of your car for the first 10 seconds of driving?

dealer sed its just a thin layer of rust on the brakes???

I haven't experienced any of the problems mentioned and none of the recalls has applied to my car.

I do however get lots of squeaks when the weather is very cold. My 03 does the same thing though. I think the subzero temperatures here in Ontario make the plastic stiff and noisy.

My biggest complaint has been a creaking/rattling sound over bumpy roads from the upper-dash/windshield area. My dealer fixed a loose piece of the plastic cowl at the base of the windshield, but it still makes noise occasionally. The car is going back in next week so they can look at it again.

Did you have to pay to get your car repainted? My rear bumper paint is chipping off, and I haven't been in any fender benders. My car is garaged at home and garaged at work, both scenario's my car is alone. No one has access to either garage other than me, and a big chunk fell off when I washed it. I setup an appointment at my dealer to get it looked at and I'm expecting a bunch of bullshit from them. I hope they don't blame it on me.

Yes, i have some of those in the 06 civic as well as my previous car too during cold days. Does seems to come from the front disc brakes. I park my car outdoor so usually can see a little bit of brown color (rust) on the disc in the morning. I think so anyway

My problem with the 06 civic so far is the check engine light. The cause if the oxygen sensor, which will be replaced when the parts come in later. Hope it'll fix it.

When I got the my car is was almost dark, I told them I would be going over it with a fine tooth comb the next day when I had better lighting. The first thing noticed was the dent, then later I noticed that in three spots there was i guess you could say the metalic paint looked like it had been rubbed, when i called them they took it no problem and didnt charge me at all. They did tell me if i had not noticed it when i did say like in six months i would be paying for it. So far i have not paid for any of the repair work to my car. I took pictures of these problems and brought the car back the following day so they could look at it.

Dont forget about the Rear Deck Rattle when the music is on and the sub is bumping, mine is horrible, i had to put a piece of wadded up electrical tape in there just to stop it, dealer said there is nothing they can do, told me to turn down the sub.

Thanks for the info. It's a good thing I took pics of my car as soon as I got it home too then.

I know of 2 cases of rattling passenger seats, turns out to be loose seat track bolts.
