Strange issue with my Civic.
I have been noticing that after driving my car hard( really fast and breaking hard),when I come to a complete stop and put the car in park I hear a strange sound in my trunk. It sounds like something is moving inside the trunk or rolling around. Of course the weird part is there is nothing in my trunk.
Has anyone experienced this..or have any idea what the hell it is that im hearing? |

Hah this thread reminds me of the last car I got. I bought an '02 eclipse used with about 4,000 miles on it. I thought I heard some noises but it was hard to tell because I usually had the stereo pretty loud. Anyhow after a week I investigated.. and found about a dozen golf balls bouncing around with my spare tire.

It's definately gas sloshing in the tank. I have this problem too, but only when I have 7/8 or more of a tank of gas.

Actually I think its the exhaust. Im not sure what it is, but if you listen closely, it starts from the middle of the car and goes back. It sounds like somethings rolling from the middle to the back. It just gets louder when its near the trunk area.

It's your rear shock. Read this thread.
knocking sound on 07 si I had the same problem and it took me a while to pinpoint it. It seems to be widespread. Take your car to the dealer and have them replace the shock. |
