Urgent urgent urgent! ;) Can someone answer this within 5 minutes? (Ipod connection)

Hey all, sorry for the urgency in this.

I'm going to the dealership within 10 minutes, and I got my offer accepted of X amount for the car, with the free ipod connection thingy thrown into the deal.

The dealer just called my mom back telling me that she doesn't recommend it because honda has been having problems with it and they are discontinuing it? Is this true, or is my dealer just jerking me around again?

I dont' see why you wouldn't at least have it put in, since it's like a free ~$300 device, right?

those things go bad. they did a recall on them. plus it would cost them more because they give you the free ipod thing then they install it then i goes bad.

Free is free, but I know that Honda discontinued it. I don't know much more than that.

I have been told it is a crappy device, and that's one reason it was discontinued.

I would see if they could swap another accessory of similar price for it.

Hey i just wanted to make some comments but i hope this applies to you if you are using the ipod for models 2006 and up and want to use the aux jack directly from your ipod i went to ebay and purchased one "aux jack" for around $6 or less not including shipping and by the way sometimes shipping costs more than the product does, anyway it works and sounds great as long as you get ur songs downloaded from itunes (and no im not a salesman for itunes) to ur ipod on that subject of ipod's its just a matter of personnel perference as all of them work and sound good, just tip if you want something to hold ur ipod in go get a ipod holder from scion or go to ebay they sell them great little foam device.
