Thumbs down Major Tranny Problem !!!

well i just got back from the track and my ******* tranny went out! i was staging and everything was good, i had my rpms at ~3000-3500 and the light turned green so i dump the clutch, but not too fast and all of a sudden my car stops and it ******* pops out of first! i was like WTF so i push the clutch in and decide to shift to second a bit early and it didn't want to go in. so i finally got it in on my second attempt and i start speeding up, shift when it blinked, then to 4th without a problem. i get back to get in line to race and i notice my shifter feels really funny. then i test each gear and for some reason my gears are out of place and ******! i lifted the hood and it smelt like burnt clutch so i try shifting my gears with the car off and the clutch in and some gears it doesn't want to go in. then my 5th, 6th and reverse somehow moved further left and there is too much play in neutral. any ideas on WTF could be the problem?

Maybe you broke a motor mount?

Take it to the dealer if you're still under warranty. Just don't tell them you were at the track when this happened.

oh and i did not mishift the ****** gear popped out by itself! and i'm not sure a motor mount would cause the gears to be all displaced, right?

you might wanna check the short shifter just to make sure nothing is out of the ordinary about it... I doubt they would give you any trouble just because of the short shifter though. *worst case scenario* = "sir, we checked out your car, and your short shift kit had come loose. We re-attached it properly. The diagnosis charge will be $86" You're probably not going to hear them say "sorry sir, but your transmission is F*cked UP!!! And guess what? It's not gonna be covered under warranty, because you're obviously abusing it, judging from that Short Shift kit you've got! HAAAHAHAHAHAAA!!!"

I don't have any idea why anyone would think that they can take a car to the track, beat on it racing, break it, and then think that Honda would take care of them on the warranty.

You've got to be high. But then so many dealers are equally as dumb, so you might just get it replaced!

*no offense intended
