throttle response feels slow with sri

okay, so my fa5 has a f5 sri intake on it. i put it on about 2 weeks after the car was bought, the throttle seems as if its drawing way too much air and i have problems when i heel toe shift/ down shift in general. when i hit the brakes, i try to tap on the gas pedal, but the rpms dont jump up that fast, it takes like a moment for it to jump back up, sometimes i have to hit the gas pedal twice to match the rev. Is this normal? if it is just idling, i'll tap on the gas and let go, and i can hear a FMMMMP sucking sound and then the engine going up in rpm shortly after, not instantly after, but a little after. someone help please. Is one of my clamps loose or something can that affect throttle response?

Did this happen with your stock airbox and resonator as well? si_civic and another member complained about the lag as well, so it may not be entirely the SRI's fault: New throttle problem?

Another member had linked it directly with heel and toeing, but I'm having trouble finding that thread.

Yep me too ive been getting that lag and it just started 2 days ago. Probably due to the warm weather.

do you think i should get this looked at by a performance shop or the dealer? if i brought to dealer they might document that i have a sri in my bay therefore further "damage" they'll blame on it and say they have proof.

I have noticed that mine has gotten a bit sluggish the last couple days as well. I thought perhaps it was just mental but now you guys got me thinking. It could have something to do with the warmer weather. I have an AEM SRI.

I think with any SRI or CAI throttle seems a little more sluggish. I know the CAI I had on my last car had a horrible throttle response right off the line. I have notice a slight decrease since i installed my sri on the Si.
