Passenger doors wont unlock with remote...

Hey people~

i am experiecing this weird problem... you know you have to press the unlock button twice within 5 seconds of each other to unlock the passenger doors right? well, for my Civic 06 LX Sedan... sometimes it works perfectly... and sometimes it just doesnt work. when i press the button twice, it simply ignore the passenger doors and just open the driver door.

i noticed when its not working properly, when i just press unlock ONCE, the headlights blink TWICE within like a second or two interval (and i think it should only blink once right?)

i have no auto lock or unlock set, everything is at default. i cannot figure out what is wrong and its pissing me off!!! btw, the doors do open if i use the main lock located on the driver's door to unlock the passenger doors.

any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

I took our two week old '06 Hybrid in today for the same issue. They said Honda is aware of the issue and is working on a fix (redesigned door lock). The common behavior is that the function works at first (second push of the door unlock command on the remote within 5 seconds to open the passenger doors) and then it stops. Our's worked properly for the first week or so, then stopped operating properly. I'm on a list for a call for whenever the newly designed part is released. Damn.

I am currently waiting for the new part for my door to arrive, I have the same problem. I have not been told what has caused this as of yet.

I went to dealer today. They are aware of this problem as I am not the only one. They will phone me once the parts arrived. I guess it is some kind of a circuit board for the auto door lock. They said it only take 20 mins to install.

Other than this , I am very happy with my SI.
